Coupling information:
The maintenance of the coupling is generally relatively simple, and the inspection items are as follows:
Visually inspect for signs of wear or fatigue, then clean the coupling.
If the coupling needs to be lubried, check and replace the lubriing oil. Most couplings only need to replace the lubriing oil once a year, but if used in harsh environments or special working conditions, the lubriing oil may take several months. Replace once.
Record the maintenance work performed for each coupling and the maintenance date.
However, even if the coupling is regularly maintained, it may still be damaged. The following are the reasons for the damage of the coupling under regular maintenance:
Incorrect coupling installation
Coupling suffered deliberate damage
Improper selection of coupling
The operating conditions exceed the original design specifiions (such as excessive rotational speed, excessive torque, etc.)
To increase the life of the coupling, it is necessary to understand the cause of its damage before replacing the next coupling. The following are some of the situations that may occur when the coupling is abnormal:
Unusual noises, including rasping or vibrato
Vibration or shaking violently
Lubriing oil leaks or becomes dirty, which may mean that the oil seal has been damaged
